HI GUYS!
My name is Mike Grayson and I currently reside in New River, Arizona (just 20
miles N. of downtown Phoenix). I have a warehouse here where I keep most of my bikes. If you are ever in my area, please CALL
ME to view my inventory at that time @ 623-465-0636.
Many of you will remember me from the 1990's when I started up and ran "IDAHO MIKE'S VINTAGE
BIKES" from Idaho Falls, ID. I had a warehouse full of several hundred vintage dirt bikes from the 60's-70's at that
time, but at least half of those bikes I wound up parting out to many of you guys who were restoring your own. This time around, almost ALL
of my bikes are complete, ready to ride or race, and in good to excellent shape. In addition, I am collecting and selling
vintage dirt bikes from the 1980's as well (can you believe that a bike built in 1990 is now considered 'vintage'?
Where has all the time gone?).
Our sport of vintage MX, trials, & enduro's is evolving
rapidly. With much controversy over AHRMA's rules and such, the local clubs appear to be gaining strength and memberships.
The local clubs are also welcoming-in the '80's water-cooled, disc-braked, single shock bikes, and I for one think
this is a very good thing. Let's face it: at 52 years old I'm not sure I'll be able to actively race a pre-'75 bike much
longer. Too bone jarring. Although my heart lies with the true pre-'75 MX'ers, I do like the speed, comfort, and safety of
the later 70's and early 80's bikes (and so does my body). Also, bringing in these bikes opens vintage MX,
trials, & enduro to a newer and younger group of riders, and that is a very good thing too. So, enough said about that.
Anyway, now I only have a few bikes that I would actually part-out. Those bikes will be listed along
with all the complete race bikes on their appropriate pages.
REGARDING MY WEB-PAGE LAYOUT:
I've tried to group the bikes on pages correlating with where they were manufactured. That does get confusing though,
especially where the 'American' bikes are concerned. Italian Aermacci made H-D 250's & Sprints, Italian & Chinese
mini-Indians, Sachs powered Rokons, Austrian-Rotax powered ATK's & Can-Am's, etc. makes them tough to categorize.
So, I've simply tried to list every bike where their PARENT company was based at the time, regardless of where they were actually
produced (except Cooper & Penton; I've listed those where they were made). This should be self-explanatory, ok?
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ! My policy regarding the buying and selling
of these old bikes is this: LIVE BY THE GOLDEN RULE. I don't want to be screwed over, and I am pretty sure that you don't
either. Yes, we can all agree that these are old race bikes that never had any warranties or guarantees to begin with
even from their original manufacturers, but nobody 'likes it' when they feel like they've been 'taken'. With that said, if
you buy a bike from me and you are not happy, then CALL ME and I will do what I can (within reason) to try and make you happy. This
hobby is too small, and our community is too tightly knit, for me to get a reputation of ripping guys off. Now, that
doesn't mean I'm going to lay down and let you walk all over me, but I promise that I will address your concerns and do what
I can to try and make things right. Also, cases of buyer's remorse are NOT my concern. Please, MAKE SURE that
you really want it, that you can afford it, and that your wife or girlfriend isn't going to throw a tizzy-fit when she
sees it, BEFORE you buy it. Please see below.
Most of these bikes I have NOT ridden,
and in fact some I have not even started up. PLEASE!!! ask me ALL questions before you buy from me! On these pages I
will list as much info on each bike that I can, but I'm sure you can imagine how much TIME it takes me to do this for 100
bikes. I will try to list most good AND bad aspects of each bike next to their photos. But of course there will be a lot of
info that won't make it to your screen. So, take it for granted that much info will NOT be included here. Once
again, I need you to ask me anything you want BEFORE you buy. If you catch me at my shop, I will walk around the bike
while on the phone with you and try to answer all your queries. Also, and if I have the time, I will try to supply a few more
digital photos to you via email if I can.
YES, I DO PERSONALLY OWN ALL THESE BIKES. I am
not 'brokering' them for any other owners. THEREFORE, I DO HAVE FINAL SAY AS TO HOW MUCH (or little) I CAN SELL
THEM FOR.
Oh yeah, one last thing. I AM NOT A DEALER. I AM NOT WALMART. I DO NOT
OFFER ANY REFUNDS, GUARANTEES, WARRANTEES, OR MONEY BACK ON ANY ITEMS I SELL. I am just a guy who loves vintage motocross,
and this is a HOBBY for me that I actually try to make a buck at, now and then. Please don't think of me as a dealer, nor
expect from me any of the rules and regulations that go along with being a dealer. If you do, you will be greatly disappointed
in our relationship. I hope that everyone can understand what this means. I am semi-retired and I don't do this for a
living; It's JUST a HOBBY for me. Thanks for understanding.
Go ahead and enjoy the tour!
